Comprehensive office reform for Mercedes Benz

ADDRESS

Alcalá de Guadaira, Seville, Spain.

AREA

280 m2

This project involved carrying out a full remodelling of an office space for Mercedes-Benz, with the area to be used situated within an older building divided up into a number of large offices – set out in a more traditional, outdated manner.

In order to create more contemporary-style office spaces, a full remodelling of the available space was required, which included thoroughly emptying out and then redistributing said area. At the heart of the criteria for this project was the need to create a greater number of offices, as well as an open-plan admin area, thus taking fuller advantage of the same original surface area. The project idea driving this project is based around having a central, open-plan core; a commercial admin area which supports the surrounding perimeter; offices for the heads of sales; and which can also support those salespeople who work elsewhere thanks to a specifically designed filing unit. The client’s intention for this central hub is to maintain a visual connection with the showroom floor, with this to be achieved by creating new lines of sight, as well as a new access route for workers-only use, thus generating flow-throughs that are independent of each other.

Said lines of sight help the space to achieve a contemporary look, while the use of transparent materials such as glass help ensure that the space is equally functional – as well as the available space being distributed in a way that adapts to the various roles carried out therein.
